Reiki After Care
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
Eat plenty of nourishing foods.
Take it easy and allow yourself time for rest and self-care.
Alcohol and tobacco dull our senses. Avoid both for at least 24 hours if possible to try to stay fully present.
Know Reiki does no harm; but keep in mind that after a Reiki session, it's not uncommon to experience a temporary "healing crisis" as the body adjusts to energy shifts and the release of blockages. Symptoms may intensify briefly or emotions may surface, but this is the body's way of eliminating physical, mental, and emotional "toxins." Keep hydrating and rest to support this process.
Not feeling immediate changes after a session is normal; Reiki's effects can be subtle and may take days or weeks to manifest. Trust the healing process and allow it to unfold naturally.
Some individuals may feel energized post-Reiki, while others may feel relaxed, drowsy, or disoriented – all of which are normal reactions. Listen to your body and avoid overexertion.
Regular Reiki sessions are recommended for sustained benefits. The frequency can vary based on individual needs, ranging from weekly for chronic conditions to monthly for wellness maintenance. Tune-ups every 1 to 2 months can also be beneficial.
Consider journaling any changes or improvements in your well-being and bring these notes to discuss at your next session.
